Part of the national
1 to 1 partnership, they provide training and technical assistance to mentoring
programs around the state - they do not actually run their own mentoring program.
They also have a clearinghouse (not complete) of mentoring programs around the
state, so if an individual called wanting to volunteer, they could refer them.
Their volunteer mentor training has been recognized nationally. Contact: Executive

Earley's interest
in mentoring grew out of a study his office did on gangs and youth violence. They
serve as a clearinghouse of information about mentoring/tutoring opportunities
for volunteers around the state. Keep in mind that "lunch buddies" is Earley's
view of a mentoring program - not necessarily intensive, time-consuming relationships.
