Local Services
Virginia 1 to 1: The Mentoring Partnership
Part of the national 1 to 1 partnership, they provide training and technical assistance to mentoring programs around the state - they do not actually run their own mentoring program. They also have a clearinghouse (not complete) of mentoring programs around the state, so if an individual called wanting to volunteer, they could refer them. Their volunteer mentor training has been recognized nationally.

Attorney General's Office
Earley's interest in mentoring grew out of a study his office did on gangs and youth violence. They serve as a clearinghouse of information about mentoring/tutoring opportunities for volunteers around the state. Keep in mind that "lunch buddies" is Earley's view of a mentoring program - not necessarily intensive, time-consuming relationships.
